Idlewild Community Development Workshop
The Michigan Office of Rural Prosperity, in partnership with Yates Township, is excited to host a day-long event focused on supporting local project readiness, strengthening cross-sector partnerships, identifying and activating community assets, and attracting investment. This event is informed by community partner insights gathered at the August 2025 Idlewild Community Roundtable and other community and economic development activities over the past year.

We invite you to join us for a dynamic day of learning, conversation, and collaboration, featuring a dedicated afternoon session for nonprofit organizations. The morning workshop will include remarks from the Office of Rural Prosperity, updates on community-wide initiatives, and a civics and governance session. A networking lunch will provide time to connect and exchange ideas. In the afternoon, participants will take part in a community inventory exercise and a grant-readiness workshop designed to strengthen local capacity and support future funding opportunities.
